Writing A Will

chattelsHere are a few prickly questions to start off with:

What if something happens to you today or tomorrow (and just like you, we really hope it doesn’t, but if it does…)?  What will happen to your family, personal possessions, valuables and business?  Did you know that often families are left destitute because one of the bread winners never planned for any eventuality?

What You Need To Do

You need to think about the immediate future, not a date far in the future because, unfortunately, life is full of unpleasant eventualities.  The only way to secure your loved ones’ inheritance is by writing a Will.  But please note that no Will can be valid unless a process has been followed in order to authenticate it.

What Is A Will?

A Will is a legal document that declares your wishes in relation to your possessions.  This legal document contains the names of those you wish to inherit everything you leave behind, from personal possessions to your entire estate and business.  This includes any moneys in bank accounts, any assets including your car or any vehicles.

Unacceptable Wills – Outcome

Did you know that often Wills are contested because they have not be written in a legally acceptable manner?  If legal procedures aren’t followed, your estate will be frozen and your loved ones will find themselves often in a divisive situation, until the law says it’s OK for each individual to inherit whatever has been left.  Sometimes the state inherits some of the assets.

We are Will writing solicitors and look forward to hearing from you for an informal discussion.  All it takes is a few minutes on the phone for an initial free consultation.  You can then make an informed decision and prepare your Will with our legal expertise.  SG
